Originally from Mill Valley, California, Matt Biasotti now calls Bozeman, Montana home, where he teaches ceramics at Gallatin High School. A graduate of Montana State University with a focus on wood-fired ceramics, he has found his true passion in both creating his own work and guiding the next generation of artists. His Montana pottery is a reflection of his artistic philosophy—embracing the natural transformations that occur during the firing and glazing process. Instead of requiring complete control, he allows the clay and glaze to take their own path in the kiln, celebrating the one-of-a-kind shapes and details that emerge!
