All Totally Bamboo cutting boards are made in California and this particular piece is engraved right here in Montana! Totally Bamboo actually got their start making director's chairs out of bamboo, but once they realized the unique benefits of this wood, they ventured into other items like cutting boards and serving utensils. Bamboo is split and then boiled/heated with steam to create the unique color of the boards. That means there are no harsh chemicals or dyes added and the board is simply treated with mineral oil. We also recommend with the engraving that you use a good, solid scrubber to get into the grooves and then reapply a mineral oil once dried. Handcrafted cocktails are just a cutting board away!
