Fool's Gold has a novelty to it. Its scientific name is Pyrite but it earned the name fool's gold because of how closely it looks to gold. Minors with untrained eyes would mine fool's gold thinking it was real gold only to be out of luck. That doesn't mean fool's gold is useless - when struck against metal, it creates sparks for fire. It is also fun to have because of its color and sparkle. Our fool's gold comes in a plastic box with a fun Old West word graphic stamped in a gold color.
