Sharon Nowlan has always been inspired and influenced by nature. Growing up strolling the beaches of Novia Scotia, she was always eyeing the ways that natural elements made things more beautiful. The smooth bleaching of wood in water, the creation of sea glass by the pounding of waves, and the patterns created in sea shells. It was with this inspiration that she began her collection of artwork. Using only what she was able to find in nature, she started infusing emotion into her portraits, combining her love of natural elements with a desire to connect to others.
